The Client

Our client is a leading global provider of digital-led business transformation and operational excellence solutions, serving enterprises across industries including banking and financial services, finance and accounting, manufacturing, supply chain, data and analytics, and technology services.

The Problem Statement

The client wanted to strengthen its digital visibility around strategic service lines and emerging business topics. As AI-powered search and Large Language Models (LLMs) increasingly influence how enterprise buyers discover expertise, expanding visibility beyond owned channels became a strategic priority. The goal was to build authority by securing placements in third-party publications and contributing to improved AI discoverability.

The client’s subject matter expertise was spread across multiple industries and service lines, making it difficult to produce a consistent stream of publication-ready thought leadership at the pace the content strategy demanded.

The content needed to balance three priorities:

  • Align with strategic SEO and AEO objectives
  • Reflect genuine executive insight while subtly promoting the client’s offerings
  • Meet the editorial expectations of external publications

What We Did: The Scope

Purple Iris partnered with the client to create a thought leadership content engine that combined research, content development, and publication-focused editorial execution.

Our scope included:

  • Deep research across complex enterprise topics
  • AI-assisted research and content synthesis to accelerate knowledge gathering and reduce SME dependency
  • Scoping out each article for an informed, executive audience
  • Narrative building and article drafting
  • Editorial oversight and publication-ready delivery
  • Alignment with target keywords and search intent

Each article delved into key challenges CXOs face, industry trends, and decision-making priorities while gently pointing toward a tech-led solution offered by our client.

How We Did it: The Approach

From SEO Briefs to Executive Content

Each content brief began with a target keyword or strategic topic area.

We identified the business context behind each topic and developed executive-level narratives that connected search intent with real-world enterprise challenges.

This ensured the content remained valuable to readers while supporting the client's visibility objectives.

1
Developing Content Across Complex Enterprise Domains

The engagement required content development across seven distinct practice areas.

  • Finance and Accounting
  • Banking and Financial Services
  • Manufacturing
  • Supply Chain
  • Data and Analytics
  • Hi-Tech, Professional Services
  • Hyperautomation

Topics ranged from Basel III and real-time payments fraud to autonomous finance, procurement transformation, enterprise decision intelligence, and AI-enabled supply chains.

This breadth required extensive research and the ability to quickly understand complex subject matter while maintaining credibility with expert audiences.

The exercise, which covered different industry verticals, audiences, and publications, required editorial oversight to ensure the content carried a distinct industry flavor while maintaining consistency in brand voice, narrative structure, and messaging.

2
Minimizing SME Participation

A key objective was enabling SMEs to participate in thought leadership without spending significant time in the actual process.

We combined AI-assisted research and content synthesis with human editorial judgment to accelerate the research process while reducing dependence on SMEs for foundational knowledge. Every article was then independently structured, written, and refined to align with the client's brand voice, publication standards, and business objectives.

Most of the drafts went through with minimal edits, demonstrating content accuracy, alignment with marketing intent, and brand voice expectations.

3
Building a Wider Digital Footprint

Each article was created with publication placement in mind.

By publishing strategic content across external publications, the client expanded its digital footprint across authoritative third-party platforms, creating additional opportunities for search visibility, referral traffic, brand authority, and AI-driven content discovery.
